The Special Court Bar Association organized a consultative meeting with litigating lawyers from the Kathmandu Valley to discuss ways to ensure better access to justice for women and girls with disabilities. The program was supported by the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) and partner organizations.
The meeting focused on identifying legal, social, and institutional barriers faced by women and girls with disabilities while seeking justice. Participants shared practical experiences from litigation, discussed challenges within the justice system, and explored ways to make legal services more inclusive, accessible, and responsive.
The consultation aimed to strengthen coordination among legal professionals and stakeholders to promote disability-inclusive justice and protect the rights of women and girls with disabilities.
